Each OpenAPI has a central tags object that allows you to tag the technical contract of an API, with tags applied across each of the API operations defined by the OpenAPI. These tags get used to categorize and organize APIs as part of API discovery, in API documentation, and across other areas of API operations, helping keep our APIs optimally curated.
OpenAPI tags should be aligned with other APIs, as well as curated as part of a wider API vocabulary strategy and taxonomy of words and phrases that should and should not be used. OpenAPI tags are just one of many layers at which the bounded context of our digital supply chain, factory floor, and distribution channels we depend on to do business each day.
